Call for projects : Tourism and Innovation

This call for projects is proposed by INNTO France - the network of National Institutes of Tourism.

Objectives:

The "Tourism & Innovation" call for projects aims to encourage innovative and creative projects by students and young graduates from the network of university tourism schools.

By selecting projects in the tourism sector that are innovative, creative and mindful of their impact on the area in which they are based and operate, the network's member universities aim to support their development or realization through financial aid.

Call opening date: November 01, 2024

Application deadline: December 01, 2024

Communication of shortlisted candidates: December 05, 2024

Auditions: December 12, 2024

Announcement of winners: December 15, 2024

The organizers:

The Réseau des Écoles Universitaires de Tourisme is an innovative network of 6 leading French universities involved in tourism education, research and innovation. Launched in June 2022, the network brings together the universities of Angers, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Toulouse Jean-Jaurès, Côte d'Azur, Savoie Mont-Blanc and Gustave-Eiffel.

In this context, six working groups have been set up, focusing on the attractiveness and legibility of the network (GT1), the development of new training places, particularly sandwich courses (GT2), the development of continuing education (GT3), the development of digital training (GT4), international development (GT5) and finally Research and Innovation (GT6).

The "Tourism & Innovation" call for projects is one of the actions of WG6 "Fostering innovation in the tourism sector by linking research with socio-economic and local partners".

The network was officially launched on May 30, 2024 in the conference center of the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Bercy under the name INNTO France, National Institutes of Tourism .

Who can apply?

This call for projects is aimed at innovative entrepreneurial projects in tourism led by :

  • current students from universities belonging to the Réseau des Écoles Universitaires de Tourisme or INNTO France,
  • and/or recent graduates who have obtained their diploma from a university member of the Réseau des Écoles Universitaires de Tourisme or INNTO France. The diploma must not have been obtained before 2021.

Innovative projects are expected that meet the principles of sustainable development and aim to create a positive impact on their local area.

To be eligible, projects must meet the following three conditions:

- Entrepreneurial projects in the tourism sector.

- Be projects in their initial phase or more advanced, structured projects.

- Be domiciled in France.

Amount of assistance

Financial support can amount to up to 4,000 euros per winner.

Following this call for projects, the winning projects, in consultation with and depending on the possibilities of the organizing universities, can benefit from 12 months' support.
